I just finished lunch and had a great salad. I love adding strawberries and blue cheese crumbles to my salads with Good Seasons Italian dressing. I love the sweet and tangy flavor. I also add a heaping teaspoon of dry ranch dressing (big container from Sam's) to the dressing sometimes. Makes the Italian more interesting. I love any kind of grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon on my salads too. Mixing up the lettuces can give it an interesting different taste too. I try to keep them varied so we don't get bored. Soon the tomatoes from the garden will be ripe and we can have that wonderful tasty tomato in our salads too. I also make sf russian dressing to drizzle over fresh tomato slices in the summer.
I've been making flax crackers for a little crunch too. Good way to get the healthful benefits of flax into my diet with minimal carbs.
Here is the recipe I have used.

That all sounds incredibly delish! My salads are way too boring, and you have inspired me to liven them up.

I have really been on a strawberry kick this summer. I've had blue cheese on the mind, but haven't bought any yet. I think I'll go shopping...
I'm glad to have the flax cracker recipe, though. Can't wait to try it...with some guacamole... Yum!
