Hey Everybody ~
I have made an unusual choice and have gone back to Weight Watchers for now. (It still feels like a cult when you walk in
My fiance has done very well - part of my decision is supporting her and her efforts.
I will try to poke in in the near future and give an update (hopefully it's good news)
Take care you guys,
Curly

Good luck on WW. My sister did well on it years ago. She lost over 100 pounds. Back in those days, they gave you a diamond pin to wear when you reached the magic 100 .
And what is this about a fiancé????? Nosy minds want to know.

I'm down 11.4 for the first week.
It's difficult to be excited - because I have so many pounds to go.
I think that going below 300 pounds will be my first target.
One mild milestone - I stepped on the scale this morning before going into the shower (& it was the first time in quite a while that my scale didn't say "E" back to me - since I'm within the scales range again).
This morning I was at 338 without clothing - I won't officially change anything until next Tuesday's weigh-in.
This time I'm approaching my low carb efforts with the weight watcher points & trying to reach a reasonable balance.
I know that it isn't Atkin's - but right now, I'm seeing some results. I hope that it continues.

Curly--
Are you saying that EA is NOT a cult?!
Congrats on the GREAT loss so far, and seriously, whatever works for you --we support. I think I can speak for most if not all of the board here.
Once you are one of us, unfortunately for you, sigh, you are always one of us.
Keep us up to date on how it goes--

Never thought about it before. We *ARE* a cult!
Best wishes on however you do it. There isn't anything wrong with WW. It just works for some and not for others. I hope you lose all the weight you want to no matter how.

Hey Curly! Good job so far!
My DH has had good success combining LC and WW. He does best with the accountability of a weekly weigh-in.

Hi Strangers `
My medical doctor referred me to a medical weight management doctor. I have an ekg & a body composition appointment over the next 2 weeks - followed my weekly or bi-weekly appointments and eating plan recommendations. He also offers lap-band surgery as an option. He also deals with sleep-apnea ~ so I'm at a one-stop shopping medical facility.
I will keep you posted.
Being remarried is WONDERFUL & the blending of 5 kids couldn't be better.
We have a home addition underway so all 5 kids will have their own rooms.
I will check back sometime.
Curly
